The BFE Chair leads meetings of the Executive Committee and the Annual General Meeting (working with the General Administrator to set the agenda for these) and works to arrive at Committee consensus on points of action. The Chair works together with members of the Committee to coordinate key BFE business, including organising conferences and drafting BFE policies. The Chair also liaises with representatives of other scholarly organisations and institutions on behalf of the Committee and the BFE.
